DeBerg Legacy LLC, doing business as Premier Pickleball Tournament Services ("Premier Pickleball," "we," "us," or "our"), organizes and manages pickleball tournaments and events. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit premierpickleballevents.com, register for an event through our registration page (premierpickleballtournamentservices.as.me), or receive text messages from us, and how we use and protect that information.
Information we collect
When you register for an event or contact us, we may collect:
- Your name, email address and mobile phone number
- Your partner's name and email address
- DUPR ID and DUPR rating information for you and your partner
- Event details such as your division, T-shirt size and registration agreements
- Payment information, which is processed securely by our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers.
- Messages you send us by email, phone or our contact form
Like most websites, our site and registration pages may also collect basic technical information such as browser type, device type and pages visited, through cookies and similar tools provided by our website and scheduling platforms.
How we use your information
- To process your event registration and payment
- To place you in the correct division and verify skill ratings
- To send registration confirmations, schedules, reminders, match and court assignments, standings, scores, playoff updates and other important event updates by email or text message
- To respond to your questions and requests
- To post team and player listings for an event, only if you agreed to a public listing during registration
- To run, improve and secure our website and services
- To comply with legal obligations
Text messages (SMS)
How you opt in. When you register for an event on our registration page, you may provide your mobile phone number and check an optional, unchecked box agreeing to receive text messages from Premier Pickleball Tournament Services (DeBerg Legacy LLC) about your registration. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of registering or purchasing.
What we send. Transactional messages related to your registration and the events you are playing in only, such as registration confirmations, event reminders, check-in and start times, location details, schedule changes, match and court assignments, live standings, scores and playoff bracket updates. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.
Frequency. Message frequency varies by event. You may receive a few messages before an event and additional updates on the event days you are playing.
Cost. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
Opt out. You can cancel text messages at any time by replying STOP. You will receive one message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and you will not receive further texts unless you opt in again.

Your mobile information is never shared. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the categories of sharing described in this policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
How we share information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share information only as needed to run our events and services:
- Service providers that operate on our behalf, such as our website host (Squarespace), our registration and scheduling platform (Acuity Scheduling), and our payment processor (Stripe). They may use your information only to provide services to us.
- Event partners and tournament directors who need registration details to run the event you signed up for, such as division placement and check-in.
- Public event listings showing your first name, last initial and division, only if you consented during registration.
- Legal requirements, when required by law or to protect the rights, safety and property of our players, staff or others.
None of this sharing includes your mobile phone number or text messaging consent for marketing or promotional purposes, as described in the Text messages section above.
How long we keep information
We keep registration information for as long as needed to run the event, handle refunds and questions, and meet legal, tax and accounting requirements. After that, we delete it or keep it only in a form that no longer identifies you.
Security
We use reputable service providers and reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
- You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you.
- You can unsubscribe from emails using the link in the email, and from texts by replying STOP.
- Depending on where you live, such as California, you may have additional privacy rights under state law. We will honor those requests as required.

Children's privacy
Our website and online registration are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date above.
